ECE Grad carries Torch
On November 15, 2009 in Trenton, Ontario Siavash Khallaghi, an ECE grad student, carried the Olympic torch for 300 metres. It was a proud moment for Khallaghi, one of 4500 selected RBC Torchbearers, "I felt like a gold medalist," said the 23-year-old from Tehran. The Torch has found a permanent home in the ECE department at Queen's. "This was my chance to give something back to Queen's" explained Khallaghi.
