Important Dates 1999-2000

Dates apply to the Fall-Winter academic year beginning in September 1999. See Sessional Dates.


Registration Fall 15 August Minimum prepayment due
    30 August QCARD becomes available to complete the final step of the registration process for students who have pre-registered and prepaid
  Winter 10 January Last day to register without financial penalty for students not registered in any other courses

Orientation Week    6-11 September


Late Registration

After 15 August (after 10 January - Winter Term) students must pay a late registration administration fee. If not preregistered, contact the Faculty Office, Room 101, Ellis Hall.

After 21 September students must submit a written appeal for late registration to the Operations Committee. If the appeal is granted, the late fee will apply.

After 31 October (after 31 January - Winter Term) no more registrations are accepted

Adding and Dropping Courses

Beginning 7 September, students can add and drop courses on QCARD. The Chair of Undergraduate Studies in the program must be advised when a course is added or dropped. Verbal requests to course instructors and/or absence from class are not sufficient and usually result in failure and loss of fee refund.

Complete Withdrawal from the University

24 September     Last date to withdraw and obtain full refund.**

Student and Bus-It cards must be returned for full or partial refunds of student interest fees.

** Information on late registration fees, refunds, and fees in general is given in the Blue Book issued by the Registrar's Office.
