Introduction to Engineering |
Biomedical Engineering |
| Students will learn about the wide world of engineering with a variety of guest speakers, lab tours and hands-on design challenges. Lots will be covered including Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Electrical Engineering and more! |
This course will provide an overview of biomedical engineering topics including ethics, ergonomics, mechanical limbs, drug delivery systems and medical imaging. The course will consist of field trips and hand-on activities. |
Introduction to Nanotechnology |
| This course will provide an overview of nanotechnology and its relevant applications in both research and industrial fields. Topics will include the history of nanotechnology, discussion of appropriate length scales, nanosystems (fabrication, experimentation, design), nanofabrication tools & techniques, the difference between nanoscale science in physics, chemistry and biology, and a look at cryogenic systems. The course will consist of lectures, guest lectures, hands on activities and tours of relevant experimental laboratories around Queen’s campus. |
Queen's University's E=MC2 provides gifted and highly motivated secondary school students with the opportunity to study a subject of their choosing at an advanced level for one week.
